An inclusive community vibe, Yoga Club is about bringing people together through yoga, music and good vibes.

You don’t need to be an experienced yogi to join our club.

YOGA FOR THE PEOPLE

Four yoga mats and bricks in Abbot House during a yoga class

Happy Cat Yoga club was created from my love of yoga, music and bringing people together.

I saw the incredible movement that was happening around running clubs and groups, and how heavily they were focused around community and the coffee that was shared together after they had ran. I thought why can’t that exact same thing happen with yoga?

I also love music and the power it has to shape a moment.

So I wanted to create a yoga experience that was elevated by accompanying soundtracks to bring the vibrations and energy up.

I want there to be spaces for people to connect and better themselves, their bodies and minds and socialise.

Connecting to ourselves and others. Happy Cat Yoga Club is that place.

THIS IS SOCIAL WELLNESS

What is Yoga Club?

An hour of fun creative flowing yoga, with a focus on linking our movement to our breath and the music. You’ll feel empowered to move with confidence, connect to your body and your mind and enjoy the power of shared support from the group.

We’ll always finish with some grounding relaxation to seal in and celebrate our practise together. â€‹

One of the most important parts of the club is the communal aspect. You’re not just another person on a mat, this club is yours. Each Yoga Club finishes with the chance to share a drink and snack, socialise, catch up or get to know someone new. Tea, Coffee, chat, community. Fill up your cup.

See you on the mat.

Just a wee heads up. The room for Yoga Club is up two small flights of stairs. 18 steps in total.  At Yoga Club we use music to elevate the experience. The music chosen does contain lyrics, strong beats and is at a volume that creates an atmosphere. Therefore, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea or the kind of yoga experience you are looking for.

Who is behind the leopard?

Emily black

The talent behind all the artwork and design for Happy Cat Yoga is the wonderful Emily Black.

Emily is an illustrator and the creative mind behind Emily illustrates, which she started in 2024 after graduating with a BA(Hons) in Communication Design.

Her work is inspired by the world around her, creating playful illustrations filled with colour, texture and wonky charm which are brought to life as prints, stickers and clay trinkets.

Emily's goal is to create work that doesn't take itself too seriously and brings a little bit of joy along the way.
